Usher in a Monster of a Song Rights Scandle Battle

Usher Raymond
Usher has been pulled into a lawsuit by a student songwriter who has alleged he was cheated out of ownership rights for the hip hop star's hit number 'Monster'.

The 'Yeah!' hitmaker included the song in his 2010 release Raymond vs Raymond, but Kameron Glasper claims he was conned into signing away half of his interest in the tune, which was part of a 10-track package deal he entered into in 2009 for Legendary Poets Music Publishing.

Glasper, also known as Kam Parker, insisted he was a "young, inexperienced college student" trying to break into the music industry when he agreed to the contract with publishing company owner Bethel Harris.

He alleged that Harris "exploited" his talents and claimed to be "the only person that Usher Raymond's representatives would negotiate with for the song Monster", reported Contact music.

Legendary Poets shut down in February 2010 – before relaunching that summer - and Glasper argues his contract should be dissolved too.

Check out Usher's album Raymond Vs Raymond which includes the hit singles "OMG", "Monster", "Hey Daddy, (Daddy's Home)" and "Hot Tottie" which features Jay-Z.

Jamie Fox and Ex Manager Fight at Usher Concert

Jamie Foxx had a battle royale with his former manager at an Usher concert in Hollywood. According to One witness "Jamie and the other guy started fighting about half way through Usher’s set at around 11.30pm. The fight spilled to the outside area and I don’t think Usher even noticed because the place was so packed with people. When they got outside security intervened and after some cops approached both men seemed to make-up with one another before they leaving the scene."

This type of altercation is unusual for the normally laid-back star, but I’ll tell you one thing: I wouldn’t want to piss him off. His publicist does not want to comment at this time about the situation, but you know the details will unfold sooner or later as to what happened. Don’t worry about Jamie Foxx, as it seems no charges where pressed. Thank goodness. For all we know it could have been just two really big egos in the middle of some testosterone-fueled fight. It had to be bad for Jamie to step out of character like that. Every time I see Jamie at an event he always seems to be a ladies man. Very social.

After the show Damien Dante Wayans, nephew to Damon and Keenan Ivory Wayans,  said he saw the fight inside and described it as "a little altercation … between two friends."

Singer / Actor Jamie Foxx

Perhaps the two were able to hug it out after all. The Usher concert went off without a hitch in spite of the drama that unfolded. I guess Usher didn’t miss a beat, and neither did Jamie. I imagine people near the altercation got a great two for One deal they got to watch Usher perform live in concert and got to see the debut of Jamie Foxx the fighter in his debut fight, I'm sure people would have paid to watch either of these events. All kidding aside, hopefully Jamie Foxx and his ex-manager can settle this without lawsuits and lawyers.
